12/22/2008 - Day 8 - Final Day of treatment

This morning, I received a wake up call from the clinical nurse.  My treatment was officially over at 1 PM today and all restrictions lifted.  I told my kids that at 1 PM - they were mine for hugs and kisses.  Jake ended up going to his friends house at noon but as soon as he got home, he held on so tight, it melted my heart.  Josh sat next to me all afternoon while I was dialed into work.  He played his video games and played with his toys.  Every now and then, I would hear "Mommy is it OK to hug and kiss you now".  As soon as I would say yes, he would wrap his arms around my neck and lay a big wet kiss on my cheek.  The bonus being that he never let go.  It felt so wonderful to have that alone time with him.  Made me miss being a stay at home mom, but I enjoyed every minute of it.  You all don't realize how much those hugs, kisses and lovin from my kids mean to me.  

The best part of the day was when Josh sang me a little tune he created on his new guitar.  The tune pretty much went "I love my Mom, I miss my Mom and I know she loves and misses me"  repeated about 50 times but very cute and yes, it is on video.  He also sang Jingle Bells for me.  Way cute.  

Tonight Kevin took Josh shopping for me.  Josh said "Mom, I am going to buy you a dress, necklace and bracelet, in pink for christmas.  Dad can't pick it out, only me."  So I am not sure how that went yet but a couple more days and we shall see. :)  Jacob went grocery shopping with me and had me rolling the whole time.  He is such a jokester and character.  From taking the groceries and making goofy faces with it to telling me what we need still in gibberish.  He made it a ton of fun.

Well I am off to play the Wii with Josh.  Life is so amazing!
